Over the next few weeks, we will complete the selection process for our 21-22 BVN Band Student Leadership Team. This team is vital to the success of our band program, and will be key players as we emerge from our past year of covid-band. I am very excited to see which students step up to the challenge!
Interested students can pick up hard copies of the applications from the band bulletin board (across the hall from the main entrance to the band room). All application materials for all leadership positions are due by 3:15 on Friday, April 9th (next week).
Timeline:
- Open for applications, now through Friday, April 9th
- Drum Major Auditions/Band President Speeches will be on Tuesday, April 13th (2nd hour) and Wednesday, April 14th (1st hour). 1st hour auditions will be video recorded and shown to 3rd hour Concert Band. Drum Majors/President will be announced by the end of the day on Friday, April 16th.
- Section Leader voting will happen ASAP after Drum Majors are announced, and the full Leadership Team Roster will be announced ASAP after those votes, likely during the week of April 19th.
Note for COLOR GUARD Members: do NOT turn in any applications at this time. We will complete the Color Guard Section Leader Selection process following Color Guard Auditions, which will be April 19-22. Details about these auditions coming soon!
Note for PERCUSSIONISTS: If you are interested in being a Marching Mustangs Percussion Section Leader, you should apply now. However, we will not announce MM Percussion Section Leaders until after Drumline Auditions, which will be completed later in April and Early May. Details about these auditions are coming soon!
