New Members of the Band:  The Band Update is a website that Mr. WAgoner and I update often, and during the school year, we usually email it out once a week.  It includes all information for band events in the upcoming week.  As we’ve been shut down, there hasn’t been a lot of need for the Update.

However, given the strangeness of all of our various schedules (Remote/In-Person classes versus VirtualEd), and now the beginning of our MAB, I have decided to get the Update going again.  It will be our hub for info/news about the band.  This info will also be shared in Canvas Announcements – so you should be able to easily access it via Canvs OR by going to the band update webpage.

STUDENTS – I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you bookmark the Band Update Webpage on your phone’s homescreens… so you are always one quick click away.  Take control of your life by being organized and having easy access to helpful information.

Another Friendly reminder for All:  If you plan to do the MAB, make sure to register!!  Link is in the band update.  If you completed the form a couple of weeks back – that was only an interest form and not the actual sign up.  The sign up form was emailed out this past week and is linked in the Band Update.  (sorry for any confusion on that!).

From the Director

​Dear BVN Band Family,

​And we’re off to the (virtual/remote/hybrid/who knows) Races!  While scheduling/understanding our new systems has been complex, It has been a good start to the school year in the Band!! Mr. Wagoner and I are very pleased with the first round of submissions from the band, and we’re looking forward to a GREAT year of music making, in whatever form it may take.

​This week launches the first of our new look performing groups for the Covid-Era – THE FALL 2020 MUSTANG ATHLETIC BAND (the MAB!!)
